Aga cookers have been at the heart of many peoples homes for generations. The Aga cooker was invented in 1922, by Nobel Prize–winner, Swedish physicist Gustaf Dalen. Dalen lost his sight when working on a previous invention. Forced to stay at home he soon discovered his wife’s exhaustion from all the cooking. He then set out to develop the Aga that we all know and love. Adopting the heat storage principle. Dalen designed two hot plates, along with two ovens, and a single heat source in one unit- The Aga cooker.
